Travels on the Van's Warped Tour 2004
I took some "illegal" pictures of our border crossing. We are told not to snap any pictures, but of course I did....
We were told to line up outside the bus while dogs sniffed the entire bus and then we went inside and were questioned individually both times we entered and exited Canada.
Our bus broke down (no brakes) at the border and Walter the mechanic and Charlie our bus driver were there to fix it. There was a long wait (several hours), meanwhile this house on wheels comes passing through with no trouble. We thought of jumping in the next one that crossed the border.
We saw carriages and beautiful old buildings in Quebec City. I saw one of the horses collapsed from being overworked. There was no one to complain to except the driver (a group of us yelled at him) who replied that the horse was taking a nap...yeah, right!!
I thought it was too fitting to see one of the Securitie officers in Quebec at the "Only Crime" band booth (did they believe their name?)
I had a day off to explore Cleveland and saw both the Hard Rock Cafe ( pictured with Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page's shirt) and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum.
In Harrisburg they have statues of cows throughout the city and this was my favorite one.
I visited Hershey Park and got a picture with my favorite candy.
Clockwise: Underground in Minnesota Twins/Vikings dome stadium (we got to shower in the locker rooms), Mile High Stadium in Denver (best locker rooms we showered in), Minnesota Twins dugout where Warped Tour crew played a few innings of baseball and lived their dreams of being pro baseball players.
